Two log cabins nestled in the woods are available year-round. Each cabin accommodates 40 people, dorm style, with modern conveniences such as bunk beds, heat/a.c., showers, and flush toilets. Two rooms per cabin, each with bathrooms. Both cabins are accessible. Deposit and advance reservations are required. The Patuxent River 4-H Center is accredited by The American Camp Association.

The Patuxent River 4-H Center provides teachers, students, and other organizations exciting day or overnight adventures. Programs include: Teacher workshops, Camp staff training, Youth leadership activities, Environmental education, Challenge adventures, Youth camping programs, Group meetings and Facility rental.

Activity Center/ Dining Hall

The main activity center includes a dining hall,  accented by a stone fireplace. Seating capacity for 120 people, 2 down-stair meeting rooms.  Catering service available. The Patuxent River 4-H Center Foundation, Inc.  works cooperatively with the University of Maryland Extension/4-H Youth development, and the Maryland National Park and Planning Commission to provide educational opportunities for youth.  The 4-H Center offers educational programs to all youth groups, schools, and community organizations.   Call for information, (301) 218-3079.
